Culture Shock

Culture Shock:

In Perth, like all other countries they have rules for the road. They drive on the left-hand side of the road rather than the right like here. So you would have to be careful when starting to drive in Perth. Maybe take it slow at first, just to get used to it. Or just sit on that side of the car and figure out where everything is. Just make sure to watch for passerby's. You cannot make a ‘U turn’ at a traffic light, unless there is a ‘U-turn permitted’ sign, allowing you to make the turn.

Some of the cuisine in Perth may be different then from what your used to here in Canada. Sure they with have some of the same dishes we do, but there is a lot you will not be used to.  You can get food from other places such as Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish, Thai, Ethiopian etc. Cafes are usually get flocks of coffee lovers a day. You can also experience quality food, such as real fish and chips at certain fish restaurants. Also because of Australians kind manner, many restaurants let you bring in your own beer and wine. To get used to the different foods there, you could try eating at Mediterranean restaurants, Thai etc, to get used to what they have there. But if you don’t like that kind of food, I'm sure you could find a hamburger somewhere or another…
